Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Elliott were living comfortably and harmoniously in the green house. Leslie was busy with sewing, for she and Owen were to be married at Christmas. Anne wondered what she would do when Leslie was gone.

Remember the PSP? Me neither, but someone does and they've brought you the PPSSPP VR, an emulator for Sony's initial handheld offering that lets you play PSP games on the Oculus Rift DK2 in VR.

PPSSPP VR brings a lot of new elements to the mix with head tracking, stereoscopic 3D and pre-warping, which means rather than just playing PSP games with the equivalent of a PSP strapped to your face you can actually look around the game world at a higher resolution than the original console.

Obviously, in addition to the emulator you'll also need an ISO created from an original PSP game, which you need to legally own before acquiring, so do be sure to own original copies of games you're trying to play on the emulator, you monsters.

This is the first version of the emulator to add VR functionality but it's based on the well-respect PPSSPP emulator, so many of the bugs with the emulation are already ironed out.

Initial tests seem to indicate that my Xbox 360 controller worked fine without any tweaking and most of the menus are usable from within the headset. Game compatibility seems solid and should only improve over time.

You can pick up the emulator from the Oculus forums, but remember you need to own the games you're trying to play legally beforehand. Fans of playing 10 year old games in VR should also consider Dolphin VR, which you should also legally own the games for. Seriously.
There had been an autumn storm of wind and rain, lasting for three days. Thunderous had been the crash of billows on the rocks, wild the white spray and spume that blew over the bar, troubled and misty and tempest-torn the erstwhile blue peace of Four Winds Harbor. Now it was over, and the shore lay clean-washed after the storm; not a wind stirred, but there was still a fine surf on, dashing on sand and rock in a splendid white turmoil--the only restless thing in the great, pervading stillness and peace.

Square Enix has announced that PSOne classic Dragon Quest VII is heading to iOS and Android in Japan.

It'll be showcased as part of the company's Tokyo Game Show line-up between September 17th and 20th.

All that is currently known about the smartphone version of Dragon Quest VII is that it'll be based on the 3DS remake.

But don't get too excited just yet as the 3DS remake hasn't actually been released in the west still. Hence, we have to say that there's no guarantee that this smartphone version will head this way either.

However, earlier this year at Japan Expo, there were rumours that Yuji Horii, the creator of the RPG series, spoke about an incoming English version of Dragon Quest VII.

Could it be that Horii was referring to the smartphone version rather than an English version of the game for 3DS? Perhaps.

For now, we'll just have to hope that Square Enix plans on bringing the iOS and Android version of Dragon Quest VII to the west. Fingers crossed.
SiliconeraMinecraft Pokémon Dream Edition(mod)
Another week, another set of awesome new releases to feast our eyes on, and, oh, how we wish there was more time in the day to play.

For those of you short of cash, you'll be pleased to know there's a rather weighty selection of free to play games, including the long-awaited Hogwarts Mystery.

Whatever you've got a hankering for, check out what's on offer on iOS and Android.
