The iPad has been struggling lately, the iPad Pro has done little to rekindle the dwindling tablet market and Apple needs a new, more mainstream product to get back on top.

Today, Apple announced the iPad Pro, a 9.7" iPad that is featuring a lot of the new advancements found in the iPad Pro. It's aimed at capturing that PC audience that is looking for a replacement for their old computer.

The screen is brighter and less reflective than the old iPad Air 2.

It features a True Tone display that matches the color of the screen with the color temperature around you.

It also has the powerful A9X chip found in the iPad Pro that should feature 4GB of Ram and plenty of horsepower at the same resolution. This should also make it the most powerful iOS device ever.

Apple will ship it with a new USB adapter that is USB 3.0 compatible. I wonder if we'll be able to use those USB flash drives again, something that Apple took away a long while ago.

Like the iPad Pro, it supports the Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil.

Apple didn't comment on the battery life for the first time but I wouldn't read too much into that.

It's out on March 31st with pre-orders opening on March 24th.

The 32GB will be available at $599, making it the most expensive 9.7" iPad lineup. The 128GB version will cost $749 and for the first time you'll be able to get a 256GB for $899.

This was Captain Jim's best story. It was a compound of horror and humor, and though Anne had heard it several times she laughed as heartily and shivered as fearsomely over it as Mr. Ford did. Other tales followed, for Captain Jim had an audience after his own heart. He told how his vessel had been run down by a steamer; how he had been boarded by Malay pirates; how his ship had caught fire; how he helped a political prisoner escape from a South African republic; how he had been wrecked one fall on the Magdalens and stranded there for the winter; how a tiger had broken loose on board ship; how his crew had mutinied and marooned him on a barren island--these and many other tales, tragic or humorous or grotesque, did Captain Jim relate. The mystery of the sea, the fascination of far lands, the lure of adventure, the laughter of the world--his hearers felt and realised them all. Owen Ford listened, with his head on his hand, and the First Mate purring on his knee, his brilliant eyes fastened on Captain Jim's rugged, eloquent face.

The newly released Wave Redux is something of a spiritual successor to developer Thomas Janson's hard-as-nails Wave Wave. The key difference between the two is that Redux is aiming to offer a chilled-out experience, while its predecessor specialised in extremely demanding twitch action.

Even looking at videos of Wave Wave being played makes me feel woefully inadequate. Its electric use of colour, sound, and shifting perspective appears equal parts exciting and nauseating, though it absolutely seems like the type of game that you can sink into and become utterly entranced by.
Mow My Lawn - Cutting Grass (No Ads)The Hunter and the Horseman

Last week it was announced that players would be able to vote for which two Pokemon would feature in the Community Days for both September and October. Now we have more details on what that will involve and when players will be able to vote.

The choices for the Pokemon include Charmander, Caterpie, Grimer, and Porygon. The winner will feature in September whilst the runner up will appear in October. The vote is set to take place through a poll on Twitter on August 22nd through to the 23rd.

Depending on who is chosen, they will each have different exclusive attacks if evolved that day. For instance, if Charmander is selected, evolving it into a Charizard will see it learn Dragon Breath. If the vote swings Caterpie's way then players can get themselves a Butterfree that knows Hurricane.

Grimer meanwhile, will be able to learn Fire Punch when it becomes a Muk. If Grimer is chosen, its Alolan form will appear in Raid Battles whilst its original Kanto version will appear in the wild and hatch from Eggs.
????? Community Day voting is coming back!? Votes will be collected via a poll hosted on our @PokemonGoApp Twitter channel. ? The poll will be open for 24 hours.? The two Pokémon with the most votes will be featured in September and October. #PokemonGOCommunityDay pic.twitter.com/XH9o7VyhX6— Pokémon GO (@PokemonGoApp) August 17, 2020Finally, if players – correctly – vote for Porygon they will be able to evolve Porygon2 into a Porygon-Z that knows the Normal-Type move Tri Attack. This will mark the attack's debut in Pokemon Go with the move also having a chance to decrease the opponent's Attack and Defense.

Pokemon Go is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
Looking for some Battle League tips? We've got some that will help you start on the front foot

The guys behind The Incident and last year's terrific Space Age have lifted the veil on their next game: a clever level-shifting platformer that currently has no name.

It's an auto-runner, so you can expect the hero (Frank, from the incident) to run all by himself. But unlike most games in this over-stuffed genre, he'll also jump automatically.

Your control over the game is to shift platforms and obstacles out of the way to give Frank a clear path to take.

"Your job is to make sure he can land his jumps, to guide him toward coins, to prevent him from disappearing off the end of the screen, and to help him to avoid hazards like spikes, endless pits, and probably a bunch of other things we haven’t thought of yet," says developer Matt Comi.

Development started in January and right now it's just called BB3 (as its Big Bucket's 3rd game) but it already looks pretty interesting. We'll keep you posted.
