Software introduction

Lords of the Fallen will be familiar to any Dark Souls superfans. Some would call it a clone, whereas I'd call it a… yeah no I'd also call it a clone.

Now though, developer CI Games is giving it a shot on mobile, with an Infinity Blade-esque slash and swipe entry called Blades of Fate.

It's been simplified for the platform, making it a little less punishing than the console title, but it's retained the gorgeous art and lighting, and the fighting was responsive enough to be pretty good!

You can choose ranged mages or warrior brutes - and you'll have to change your play style accordingly. There's also a PvP mode in the works, though the build I played at gamescom 2016 didn't include any multiplayer whatsoever.

Nevertheless, I'm feeling positive about this one. You can check out Lords of the Fallen: Blades of Fate for yourself when it launches for free on the App Store and Google Play in October.
&#;

    The Stag at the Pool
We're all excited, and a little anxious, about Nintendo's dabbling in mobile games. Originally advertised as releasing five games up by the end of the year, there's a notable absence as the most recent images show that only four are listed.

Nintendo previously said 5 games before end of FY2016/17.Now just 4 games (Pictured below) coming to smartphones before EOY. pic.twitter.com/lMCr5meDHx— Daniel Ahmad (@ZhugeEX) October 28, 2016 This isn't NEW news, of course. IGN posted an article back in September informing us that Nintendo only had four games ready for release as so decided to pull the number down. As it was stated 'market conditions and the development process for each title' removed one game from the schedule. I guess we'll never know which one it was.

But now we've got a definite list.

Looking to the future, we'll be seeing Miitomo, Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem, and Animal Crossing on our mobile screens before March 2017. Not a good list, not a bad list, apparently there's a pretty killer update coming to pick Miitomo up out of the gutter but whether it's successful or not remains to be seen.

What do you think that final game was? Let us know in the comments below.

    &#;
Is three crossovers too many? It might be. Can Halloween, Angry Birds, and Transformers co-exist in a single game and the world not rupture?

You better hope so as Rovio certainly hasn't been held back by crossing these cultural beams in the latest update to Angry Birds Transformers.

It sees Piggy Island overrun by pumpkins and ghosts. But this doesn't spook transforming mechs that stomp all over it. Of course not.

Nah, it only opens up an opportunity to smash more pumpkins than your friends and win prizes for Halloween.

What might be a little scarier, though, is the new character added with this update. Get ready to meet Nemesis Prime who brings a bunch of new accessories to play with.

This update also brings "major improvements" but you'll discover these as you play.

You can download Angry Birds Transformers for free on the App Store and Google Play.

    &#;&#;'Many there were that did his picture get,

    A MAN came into a forest and asked the Trees to provide him a handle for his axe. The Trees consented to his request and gave him a young ash-tree. No sooner had the man fitted a new handle to his axe from it, than he began to use it and quickly felled with his strokes the noblest giants of the forest. An old oak, lamenting when too late the destruction of his companions, said to a neighboring cedar, "The first step has lost us all. If we had not given up the rights of the ash, we might yet have retained our own privileges and have stood for ages.""Gilbert!"

    &#;Are errors of the blood, none of the mind;"This has been an awful disappointment to me," sighed Miss Cornelia. "I've looked forward to this baby--and I did want it to be a girl, too."

Hanger World is a barmy little platformer that will be out on iOS tomorrow.

It has you trying to swing a ragdoll across 54 hazardous levels without breaking it into painful-looking pieces.

If you do end up dismembering the ragdoll then your route across the level will be doused in blood. But it's funny blood - not the gross kind of blood... promise.

Anyway, the idea is to use a grappling hook to move the ragdoll along. But this is no Spider-Man. Heck, this isn't even Mikey Hooks.
Hanger World is unashamedly crude in looks, humour, and physics, and the hazards you'll have to tackle reflect that.
