Updated on September 11th at 12:50: EA has been in touch to tell us that the game won't be getting a soft launch as this story originally said.
"As for timing, EA are not planning to soft launching next week as some outlets have reported, but will go into a soft launch period and then a worldwide launch in the next few months."

So there you go.

Original story follows...SimCity Buildit has just been revealed for iOS and Android. I say revealed, but I pretty much just told you everything we know about it in ten words.

According to our pals at Pocket Gamer France, it's a free to play game, and apparently it's set to enter soft launch sometime next week.

The last SimCity game was SimCity for PC and Mac, and it didn't go down terribly well. And EA's last attempt to turn a beloved franchise into a mobile game, Dungeon Keeper, didn't go down very well either.

Still, we'll keep an open mind, because we're nice like that. And we'll let you know when we hear anything a little more concrete about SimCity Buildit.

If you missed the announcement earlier this month, PS1 cult classic Monster Rancher 2 is set to be ported over to iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. Now, the port's debut trailer has landed, giving us a clearer look at it in action (cheers, Gematsu).

The spruced-up remaster heads our way courtesy of Koei Tecmo , and while precise details are still fairly light on what to expect, we do know that the port will introduce some improvements to the now over twenty-year-old game. For example, it certainly seems to benefit from a nice bump in resolution.
Pokemon Go's Ultra Unlock week details have been announced by Niantic
Monster Rancher 2 tasks you with raising an army of strange critters to do your bidding and compete in challenging tournaments.

Nyan Cat: The Space Journey(A large number of gold coins)
The world of Aralon: Forge and Flame looks rather gloomy in its new teaser trailer. It's all grey rocks and towns made of stone.

But it's alright, because there's a little blue crab in it, and it is everything. Make that crab the star of the game, that's what I say.

Silliness aside, we're told that Forge and Flame should be out for iOS this December so it's only a few weeks away now.

It is, of course, the open-world RPG sequel to Aralon: Sword and Shadow. That game didn't win any awards in our review back in 2010 but hopefully its sequel can.

The acclaimed narrative-driven adventure game that arguably birthed the ‘walking simulator' genre, The Chinese Room’s Dear Esther, is finally making its way to iOS later this year.

Since its original launch on PC back in 2012, it’s sold over one million units, all while being hailed as a forward-thinking title that opened up a space for modern classics like What Remains of Edith Finch and Gone Home. Like it or not, it’s hard to argue with those who say Dear Esther’s deliberate pace and lack of traditional action felt unique and refreshing at the time.

It sees you exploring the mysterious coastline and caves of a woozy, dreamlike Hebridean island. As you explore, an unnamed narrator read fragments of a cryptic letter that you must then make sense of. I’d definitely recommend keeping an eye out for odd scribblings on the cave walls, unexplained machine parts strewn throughout the abandoned island, and the odd ghost watching you from afar.

After the success of Dear Esther, The Chinese Room went on to create Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture – another ‘walking sim’ that proved to be extremely divisive, with some singing its praises and others loathing its slow pace and story which arguably always kept players at a distance. Regardless, the developer and its games will forever hold a special place in my heart, especially for their soundtracks which I pulled from numerous times for various university projects.

Even if you think it might not be for you, I’d still recommend giving it a go. Look for Dear Esther on the App Store later this year. No firm date has been given yet, but we’ll be sure to let you know once more details emerge.
Check out our news section to discover the latest, and greatest, games.
"Almost everybody sent him some little present to help out the furnishing of the house. When the Russells came into it they were well-to-do and furnished it real handsome, as you can see; but the first furniture that went into it was plain enough. This little house was rich in love, though. The women sent in quilts and tablecloths and towels, and one man made a chest for her, and another a table and so on. Even blind old Aunt Margaret Boyd wove a little basket for her out of the sweet-scented sand-hill grass. The schoolmaster's wife used it for years to keep her handkerchiefs in.
A LION roaming by the seashore saw a Dolphin lift up its head out of the waves, and suggested that they contract an alliance, saying that of all the animals they ought to be the best friends, since the one was the king of beasts on the earth, and the other was the sovereign ruler of all the inhabitants of the ocean. The Dolphin gladly consented to this request. Not long afterwards the Lion had a combat with a wild bull, and called on the Dolphin to help him. The Dolphin, though quite willing to give him assistance, was unable to do so, as he could not by any means reach the land. The Lion abused him as a traitor. The Dolphin replied, "Nay, my friend, blame not me, but Nature, which, while giving me the sovereignty of the sea, has quite denied me the power of living upon the land."
Cricket Through The Ages is the latest addition to Apple Arcade's ever-growing roster. It's developer by Free Lives and will be published by Devolver Digital, who have shown an increased interested in mobile this year with ports of Gris and entirely new games like Witcheye appearing on phones.

Cricket Through The Ages is a very literal title. The game will see cricket at different points throughout time. It's a historical game then. Well, sort of, whilst the game does go through history and does occasionally involve cricket, it's not exactly factual or even based on the sport.

A single button physics game, it will see players attempting to knock over an opponent by throwing objects at them or simply charging into them. As you can see from the trailer below this may sometimes involve cricket but also includes jousting, axe throwing and... duelling with cups of tea?
